  1. The Endorsement Committee was able to consider every candidate who turned in a completed questionnaire by the extended deadline of January 1, 2014.

  2. In the case of a few statewide candidates who expressed interest in endorsement by Stonewall Democrats of Dallas (SDD), for various reasons any endorsement consideration has been put off or resulted in a decision of “no endorsement” because the committee felt they could not reach a consensus for a contested primary. At least one statewide candidate or a designated representative of a statewide candidate will be speaking to the general membership before the primary in order to seek endorsement for 2014.

  3. The Endorsement Committee heard from several uncontested incumbents who wanted to spare the committee time and resources during the primaries or did not return a questionnaire by January 1, 2014, but did want to be considered for endorsement by SDD and can be considered at a time to be determined after the Primary Election Day of March 4, 2014.

  4. All rules governing the SDD endorsements procedure are covered in the Endorsement section of the SDD bylaws, the supplemental rules (available by download link on the SDD website's Endorsement page), and Robert's Rules of Order.
